Track Break

Ok I have been in this new job for 3 and a half months. What can I say about my new job.... well it is interesting. I am in a class with 4 students. We started off with just one and grew to 5 but then one left. I go to work everyday to something new. Whether it is chasing after students, defending myself from students, or protecting the other students from other students. This just is very stressful but right now I am on track break for 4 more weeks. So life is good.

While I have been on track break I have discovered my crafty side. Thanks Kim for finding the blog Tater Tots and Jello. This is where I have gotten tons of ideas. I got one idea from here and that was a Marshmallow wreath.

New Job

For those of you that don't know my job with the school district was eliminated.  Because of this I was placed in a new position at a new school.  As of tomorrow I will be working at Clyde Cox Elementary school.  All I know is that I will be an SPTA ( special ed teachers assistant.)  I don't know what kind of a class it is nor do I know who the teacher is. This is going to be a hard move for me just because I was at Tartan for almost 4 years.  I got to know many people there.  I will miss all of my friends there, but I am hoping to make more friends over at Cox.  I was told that sometimes change isn't a bad thing, sometimes it's for the good.  I hope this move is for the good.  I'll keep you all informed about how it goes.  Tomorrow is the big day!!!! 

Arizona Trip

My parents got a Marriott time share in Arizona.   With the program they can change the place of their time share, so they wanted to come and see what it was like down here in AZ.  So we have been here for a week.  My parents can on Saturday, but Kim and I came down on Sunday.  We have been shopping and laying out by the pool.  A great vacation in my eyes.  Tuesday night be went to a Diamond Backs game.  That was fun.  Kim fell in love with one of the players that is from Australia.  I have to agree with her that he is a cutie.  Today, we went to the gym, pool, and then to a movie with dad.  That was fun.  It was a daddy daughter day.  My mom was going to lunch with an old friend of hers that happens to live here in Scotsdale.  Tomorrow will be a day at the pool.  Dad is going golfing in the morning, so mom, Kim and I will go to the pool.  Then mom and dad are going to the temple, so Kim and I will stay at the pool.  I better come home with a great tan.  At the hotel next door there is a lazy river with rafts.  Great way to get some sun in Arizona because it is HOT!!!!!!!  Then Friday it is back to Vegas.  How sad. =(    

SPRING BREAK TRIP TO NEWPORT!!!!!!

Ok so I was horrible at keeping you updated on our trip. Here is the full scoop. So Audra, Kim, Lindsay, and I left Saturday night around 6:30pm. The car was packed to the rim with beach chairs, umbrellas, and 4 suitcases filled with clothes. You know girls they pack ALOT!!!! We are on our way and I was DJ Tiff on this trip. I kept us rocking out to music on this trip. We stopped in Barstow to get gas and IN-AND-OUT!!!! You gotta have IN-AND-OUT on a road trip to Cali.

The rest of the trip was great. I have such great map reading skills. HA ha ya and if you believe that you are crazy.

Well, we got to Newport around 10pm. We stayed at the Marriott Condo resort. They were great. It was a two bedroom 2 bath condo. My parents had one room and then us 4 girls shared the second room. Yes we were packed in there pretty tight. Plus just think of ALL 4 girls sharing a bathroom. Kim and Linz were sharing a fold out bed. That was funny because Audra and I were sharing the comfy bed. So everyday it was another complaint from those girls. So I would turn to Audra and say, "I don't know about you but I slept great last night." We teased those girls all week about their bed.

Sunday: We got up and watched the first half of conferece. Then we went and layed out by the pool. Gotta work on that tan. We all teased Audra for wearing 50 sunscreen to TAN!!!! The pool was great. We shared it with only 3 other condos. It wasn't that full at all. It was like we had our own personal pool. After we sat out by the pool we decided to go to Balboa Island. We had to take a small farry for about 2 minutes to get to the island. While we waited to get on the farry Kim and Linz went and got chocolate covered strawberries. The were huge and delicious. Dad couldn't eat it without making a mess though. He got strawberry juice all over him. By the time we got done eating our strawberries we were on the Island. When we got on the Island mom and dad rented us a 4 person bike. The lady at the store told us that we were like a car. So we didn't know any different. We got on and of course the 2 young girls who wanted to do the bike sat in the bike. I had to drive. I don't know what I am doing. I'm just driving anywhere. Well, we end up on a main street. We are all stressing out and to top it off the lifeguard officer told us over his speaker "Ladies get that off the road." How emberrassing. Well, that wasn't the end of our embarrassment. We found the bike path by the ocean and just followed that. Well, we passed a house full of guys and what was their comments, "Those are the girls that were on the main road." It was horrible and we passed them 3 times. After about an hour of bike riding we gave up the bike to mom and dad. While they were riding the bike we went to the beach to put our toes in the sand. We hung out for awhile and took some pictures. Then we went back to the condo for dinner. It was mom and dad's night.

Monday: On this day we went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park. It was a blast to see all of the wonderful animals. It was hot though. That place doesn't have much shade. It was still fun. Then the 4 of us girls went to go explore. We wanted to go to the beach and walk at night. Well, we couldn't find any place open in Newport, so we went back to Balboa. We walked on the beach and got good and wet. Thanks Linz for pushing me into the water. =) On our way back to Newport we got lost. I told you I'm not a good navigator. We stopped at a gas station and asked for directions. See women will ask. We were right down the street from where we needed to be. Sad I know.

Tuesday: Today we went to Huntington Beach to get our nails done. Audra had done some research and was told about a salon in Huntington that did really cool designs on your nails. So we headed out to Huntington. The salon was a small shop with 4 pedicure chairs. We called ahead so we only had to wait a few minutes. We all got Zebra designs on our toes. Audra, Kim and Linz got zebra on their finger nails too. I got acrilecs on and on the tips I got pocka dots. I now need a fill but I don't want to go get one because I don't want to ruin my cute nails from Cali. After we got back from getting our nails done we ate dinner.

Wednesday: We headed to LA. Once again I was the navigator. I am surprised we didn't get lost. First stop was the Chinese Mann's Theatre. We bought VIP tickets to Fast and the Furious. We also bought tickets to go on the Tour of the Stars. That was fun. We got to see all of the famous places in Hollywood as well have celebrities houses. Our tour guide was funny and kept us laughing. After the tour it was time for our movie. We got to sit in large leather seats in a row all by ourselves. We also didn't have to go and get our own snacks. We had someone bring them to us. I felt important.

Thursday: DISNEYLAND!!!! Today was the day that we were waiting for the whole trip. DISNEYLAND!!!!!! The happiest place on earth and that is true. We got up early and was at the park by 9. We went from ride to ride, but that place was packed. So we didn't get to go on everything. Plus we pooped out early. It was 8 and we were home. Mom and dad even stayed out later than us. Sad I know.

Friday: The party was over. It was time to come home. I was sad to leave the gorgious beach side resort. We had to be packed up and out of the condo by 10am. So we got up packed the car up with all our junk and headed home. I once again became DJ Tiff. The ride home was quick and we got back around 3pm. Back to reality. SAD!!!!

Newport vacation

So the vacation has started. It is great. We are here in Newport laying out by the pool. It is so beautiful. This is day one and so i'll keep you updated.

I need a vacation!!!!

Ok so the last month and a half has been very stressful. At the end of January my grandma Keate passed away. We had the funeral and I was starting to become normal again, when my grandma Spring passed away 2 weeks ago. Having both grandmas pass within 5 weeks of each other has been hard. I miss them both terribly. Needless to say I need a vacation. It's a good thing that for Spring Break my family is going to Newport beach. Audra is coming with us and I think Kim is bring Linz. So we are going to have a blast. I need this time to just veg out and do something fun.

It's Done!!!!!

Here are some photos of my guest room or what I should call it my gym room.  This room took forever to paint.  If you read in my post before you know that this stripe was a pain in my butt.  I didn't let it defeat me.  I got the stripe done.  It took forever, but I got it done.  I am really excited about how it turned out.  Now I just need to use the equipment that is in                      there. 

My Guest Bedroom Mess

Ok so I am painting my guest bedroom. The colors are a A light tan, Turquoise Tint, and a deep walnut brown. So this was my idea. I painted one wall the accent color turquoise green. Then I painted the other 3 walls the light tan. Then about 10 inches from the ceiling I am going to paint a deep brown stripe. Well, I got all the walls painted and was starting to mark off the lines for the stripe. Well, I marked it all the way around the room and the 2 ends didn't match up. So now I am trying to decide if I even want the dumb stripe. I told my dad how I screwed up and he said that I pulled a Kim move. (Love ya Kim) Ya it was a pretty blonde way of doing it. Let me explain. I measured 10 inches down from the ceiling. Then I got out my level that is about 6 inches long, and drew lines with my level. Well, I didn't take into consideration that the walls aren't all the same height and I was about 2 inches off when I got back around to the start. So now if I am going to do the dumb stripe I have to do it a different way. But no matter what now I have to paint over my lines I drew on. I HATE PROJECTS THAT I SCREW UP!!!!!! Oh well, I'll let you know how it turns out.

YAY REBELS!!!!

THE LOSING STREAK IS GONE!!!! WE WON!!!!! NOW IF WE CAN JUST KEEP IT UP. WINK, JOE, RENE, AND OSCAR DID GREAT. WINK WAS THE PLAYER OF THE GAME BUT JOE WASN'T FAR BEHIND HIM. JOE WAS LOOKING GOOD WITH THOSE 3 POINTERS. GOTTA LOVE IT WHEN HE IS HOT!!!!! NOW WE JUST NEED TO KEEP WINNING. THEN MAYBE WE CAN BE A CONTENDER IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

Rebel Game

Ok we have a rebel game tonight. I hope we win. We have been on a losing streak. This needs to stop. So hopefully we will beat TCU tonight and then Colorado on Saturday. I was so sad when UNLV lost the last 2 games in overtime by 1 point. We have to do some real winning to get back in the fight to go to the tournament. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

New Job

Well it's looking like I won't be in the pre kinder class much longer. I was told that they are looking for a perminate teacher to come take over. The principal at my school said that she misses me as the perminate sub. So it is looking like I will be going back to that job. I am sad about it but on the other hand I am OK with it. See come next year I don't know if they are going to need my position at all of the schools. So if I go back to day to day subbing than maybe next year they will keep me here at the school. Well, we can only hope. I have to say though that I am very sad to say goodbye to my pre kinders. They are just so cute. I loved having this job, but I knew that it might only be temporary.

My New Job

So I was told by the Assistant Principal on Friday that I would be taking over the Pre Kinder class at Tartan Elem.  I am so excited about this.  This is finally a job in my age group that I am going to school for.  I am very stressed about this job because now I am going to be the teacher.  I am going to have to do teacher things like IEPS, lesson plans, and maybe report cards (not to sure about reports cards).  So all of my teacher friends out there if I come to you for help PLEASE HELP ME I'm new at this stuff.  But overall I am very excited to get to know the children and have some fun with them.  3 and 4 year olds are the best to teach.  They are very willing to learn and have fun.  Keep your fingers crossed for me so that I do well.  

Rebel Game

Last night Audra and I went to the Rebel game like usual.  It was very crowded because it was Pack the Mack night.  Vegas fans are great.  So before we got there Audra and I were talking about how bad we needed to win since we lost our last 2 games on the road.  Well, we did it!!  GO REBELS!!!!!!!   We won!!!  We beat Wyoming 83 to 66.  Joe scored 5 points and Wink was the player of the game with 20 points.  It was a great game.  The game was very intense with fighting and a lot of contact.  But our Rebs took out the Cowboys and will take out BYU on Wednesday.  We are going to have to play hard to beat BYU in Provo, but we can do it and I'll be watching it on TV.

My Dog

My dog is the cutest dog ever. She is a Yorkie. And wow are they stuburn. Ok I am having a problem. My dog Roxy has decided that she doesn't want to sleep at night. She goes into her crate at night when I go to bed and just starts to whine. So I put her outside and she whines. I am going to give her away if she doesn't start sleeping. I swear having a dog is like having a baby. Roxy is 2 years old and still whining at night. It's not just for a few minutes then she gives up. Oh no she whines forever and then at 12 she starts again and then about 4. I have to find a solution to this problem or my dog is going to be homeless. (And those that know me know that I would never ever give up Roxy. She is like my child, but dang she is trying my patience.)

All I do is work and workout

So I started this year off with new goals. Some of the goals are to lose weight and make money. Well, let me tell you I think that is all I have been doing. I go to work at 6:45am and get done with work by 6:30pm. Then most days I workout either at the gym with my mom and Eric or I do cardio at home. Wow I am sore all the time. It seems like as soon as my body recovers from the first workout of the week it's time for the next workout. I really hope that this is working because dang it hurts. Other than work and working out nothing is new with me. I lead such a boring life.

I know, I know

I know I have been bad about keeping up with my blog. Here is an update. On December 19th I turned 26. How sad I am on the downhill to 30. But it's ok. I was glad I could spend time with my family on that day. My parents, Kim and I went to Outback for dinner. Then we went back to my parent's house for brownies. They were so good. For my birthday I got a Wii Fit. My parents did it a little backwards.
For the last 2 weeks I have been off of work. It was winter break. Can I just say that I love winter break. I don't get time off of work unless it's winter break or spring break. So I love it when I can get some time off. While I had time off I spent time with my family. Kim came into town, so I spent time with her. Christmas eve was fun. We went to my grandma parent's house to have dinner. Brian and Marixa were there with Mia. Mia is so cute. She had a fun time playing with Roxy. On Christmas eve I spent the night at my parent's house. Christmas morning we go up and opened presents. I was so excited to get the Wii that I had been asking for.
Then for New Year's eve I went over to some friends house and made smores. That was fun. I haven't made smores in years. Now that it is a new year I am making it my goal to lose weight. We'll see how it goes.
